WHO gig 12/06

Vintage Trouble were a good warm up band but had a tough audience to get going despite the singer being in the crown and full of energy. The Who did the full Quadrophenia album followed by 6 or 7 Who classics e.g. "Pinball Wizard" and "Won't Get Fooled Again". They played from 8.30 to 10.45 without a break with a backdrop of amazing film footage on a stage with the monitors representing the headlight and spots of a scooter. The crowd were on their feet and the arena filled with them shouting "We are the Mods". The show had a great atmosphere throughout I couldn't sing for half that time, my voice is still sore from trying, Daltry is 69 and looking and sounding better than most of us fat sods. The Who were and arguably remain one of the greatest bands there has ever been. Hope I've given an unbiased opinion NOT!!!
