Event Description

The legendary Geno, the man so good that Dexys named their best known song after him (what do you mean, his name's not 'Eileen'? Pay attention at the back!!) returns to the Nags Head for the first time in nearly four decades. Now almost 70 and resident in the UK for many years, he and his magnificent Ram Jam Band are sure to deliver a show of pounding, non-stop floorstomping soul and R'n'B the way it should be done!! If you haven't seen Geno yet, you've missed out.

The gig proper finishes at 11, but in the downstairs bar til 2 30 am afterwards there will be a live Dj set from Shindig's very own Phil Istine, playing soul, R'n'B, beat and ska favourites til you stop drinking and dancing. A fabulous evening awaits, get yo' dancing shoes on!!....

TRAVEL INFO

Nearest station: High Wycombe (Chiltern Rail) Nearest tube: Amersham (Met Line and Chiltern Rail) then no. 4, 52 or 62 bus to Wycombe town centre. The venue is a 10-minute walk from there heading East along the London Road.

BUS: Buses from Wycombe centre to venue: Arriva 32, 35, 37, Arriva/First 74 (only til 8 30 pm though) and Carousel 336/X36 and A40/740, but these last stop quite early, so they may get you there but not back!!

Last bus to Princes Risborough and Aylesbury departs 11.30 pm from Eden Bus Station, High Wycombe

COACH: Last coach to Oxford, service 737, departs Eden Bus Station 23.45 pm, then the next day's services, for all you night owls, begin at 03.10 am. Last coach all destinations to Stansted Airport, same number, departs from the same stop at 01.40 am.

TRAIN: Last train back East (Beaconsfield and all stations back to London) departs 23.27 from High Wycombe. Last train heading North West (all stations to Birmingham Moor Street and further) departs 23.12, last train to Princes Risborough and Aylesbury 00.56.
