Event Description

The Red Lion Leytonstone, East London. Lambert and Stamp's obsession to launch the Who in solid working class areas continued with a trial Monday night stint at this large, draughty East End pub, found for them by journalist associate Ray Tolliday. There was a strong Mod following in the area, but without a record or promotion, virtually no one had heard of the group. At least four Monday night bookings followed.

To celebrate the pub will be hosting a Mod night with live band playing Mod classics and Mod & Soul DJ set.
