2014 marked the 20th edition and previous live acts included Brenda Holloway, James Hunter, Martha Reeves, King Khan & The Shrines, Maxine Brown, The Strypes Masters of Groove inc Pretty Purdie, Rueben Wilson and Grant Green Jnr, Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Night Beats, P.P Arnold, The Action, The Pretty Things, Lonnie Smith, Dean Parrish, July, James Taylor Quartet, The Flirtations, Al Supersonic & The Teenagers, The Pepperpots, Doctor Explosion, Los Peyotes, Wau Y Los Arrrgs, DC Fontana, Big Boss Man, The Jaybirds to name just a few.
After the live music finished Europe’s finest DJs take over and play 100% vintage vinyl over two dance floors in a superb venue built in 1968, just a five minute walk from the seafront of Gijon. However there is so much more to Euro Ye Ye, the programme includes three all-nighters, three scooter runs, art exhibitions, market and cult films. All set to the backdrop of this beautiful area of Spain called Asturias, with its excellent beaches, great cuisine and Cidra.
