 his month is Alan Handscombe, a veteran of the London mod and soul sce
 ne for over 30 years, who currently runs the popular RnB123 club night
 . Alan first got into the music in late '79, made his DJ debut at Le B
 eat Route Club in Soho in '82 and then started running his own nights,
  playing a mixture of Motown, Northern and Jamaican sounds. He was res
 ident DJ at some of the most famous and influential clubs in London su
 ch as Soulful Shack, These Old Shoes, Capitol Soul Club and Reggae Sha
 ck. Alan says of RnB123: \"W...e play the whole spectrum of Black Amer
 ican music from the late 50s to the very early seventies with a smatte
 ring of Jamaican sounds and Latin, to a dressed up crowd who don’t s
