Part 1/2. Ready Steady Go! (or simply RSG!) was the TV pop show that defined the swinging 60s in Britain, running from Aug 1963 to Dec 1966. The Rediffusion studios on Kingsway in London became the 'in' place to be, and to be seen on a Friday evening when the shows went out live. It was the first TV show to fully embrace 60s youth culture as well as the pop music explosion that was happening at that time.
This is a short retrospective on the show that was screened on UK TV around June 1985, just prior to a re-run of some of the RSG shows. See also part two of this programme.
