Profile Information:

About Me:
Ageing Soul Rebel. Originally from Glasgow. 38. Recently separated. Used to spend a lot of time at Club Carnaby Street, Manchester and the Band On The Wall. Made it down to a few Mousetrap Allnighters in the 90's. Mainly into R & B, Northern Soul, Deep Soul but have me know to jump about to some white music. Just trying to get back on the scene after fairly long break.

Top 5 Tunes at the Moment
1) King Floyd – Groove Me
From the opening “Uhh! Awww, sookie sookie now!” it does what is says on the label – it grooves me! A gorgeous summer record from 1970, it’s also worth checking out Leroy Sibbles cover on the Studio One Soul compilation.
2) James Brown & The Famous Flames – Lost Someone
I usually don’t like his stuff that much but this is JB on a deep, deep soul tip – heartbreaking desperation!
3) The Royal Jokers – Sam’s Back
Old school R & B, the ladies have been missing Sam but now he’s back.
4) The Ramrods – Soultrain (Part 1)
Driving instrumental with a dash of funky sauce.
5) Linda Jones – Your Precious Love
Always loved Linda Jones voice and this is another belter.

You are not wrong-I don't think there is anyone around today that touches him for remaining true to their ideals in a corrupt and fickle industry-not to mention his streak of lawlessness and ability to change people's lives with his work, I could go on but I'd better not...

Why did you leave Glasgow, by the way? I'm thinking of moving there!
