About Me:

DJ Loadz & Lady Jade are the Vinyl Avengers.

We currently reside in Torquay and have been DJ'ing locally for the past couple of years.

We run two monthly vinyl only DJ'ing nights at Torquay's Green Room: RETRO SOUL & FRIDAY ON MY MIND, the 1st & 3rd friday nights of the month. We will be celebrating the year's anniversay of RETRO SOUL this April & the 2nd year's anniversay of FRIDAY ON MY MIND... with special party nights!

We have a new live music night VINYL IN THE ATTIC launching on Saturday March 31st - featuring THE LEN PRICE 3 playing live! We will be running VINYL IN THE ATTIC on the last saturday of every month with some amazing garage pop bands lined up!!

Have DJ'd over the last year at the Showmen Scooter Club event, Ruby Slipper's Retro Romp 2011, Sixties nights at Premier Cru Cocktail Bar, Going Underground punk/new wave nights, various private parties, and compered at the Occombe Music festival.

History: We both DJ'd full-time throughout the 1990's, taking a break to have children and now returning together as The Vinyl Avengers!

Lady Jade grew up in L.A. on a diet of NYD, Iggy & Soul Train. Moved to London, where she was influential in the psychedelic scene of the 1980's, managing bands Miles Over Matter, Treatment & Bad Detective, along with staging the Great Mango party. Promoted and DJ'd the notorious Valley of the Dolls club in Carnaby Street. DJ'd in Tokyo and London, sharing a stage with the James Taylor Quartet, Bruce Willis(!) and many other acts. Most memorable night was DJ'ing for Rod Stewart, a great lover of Motown.
